A total of 15 professors are reportedly in the race for the position of Vice-Chancellor at the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, as the institution prepares for a leadership transition.
The contest follows the completion of tenure by the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nlerum Okogbule, whose leadership officially ended.
Professor Okogbule has served the institution since 2019, overseeing several academic and infrastructural developments during his administration.
