The Bille Community in Degema Local Government Area has voiced deep concern over what it describes as mounting threats to its peace and safety.
In a media briefing, the Bille Council of Chiefs alleged that Mujahid Asari Dokubo, the Amayanabo of Torusarama Piri, and his private security outfit known as the Amama Soldiers, have carried out acts of aggression against the Bille people.
Spokesman of the Council, Alabo Boma Dappa, warned of a possible plan to attack Bille Kingdom in an attempt to expand territory. He called on both the Federal and Rivers State Governments to act swiftly to prevent a breakdown of law and order, stressing that the community will not hesitate to defend itself if provoked.
The development underscores rising tension in the region and the need for urgent government attention to maintain peace and stability.
