The Federal Government has temporarily suspended access to the online recruitment portal for four major paramilitary agencies across the country. Affected agencies include the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
The announcement came from the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), through its Secretary, Major General Abdulmalik Jibrin. According to the board, the move is intended to ensure a “smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.”
The portal—https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng—which was initially scheduled to go live on Monday, July 14, will now reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025.
The temporary suspension is said to be a precautionary step to strengthen the system’s capacity and improve the application process, especially considering the high number of interested applicants across the country.
The Federal Government has expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of Nigerian youths and is urging all prospective candidates to take note of the new date and be ready to apply once the portal resumes operations.
