NNL Super Eight Kicks Off in Asaba, Ogwashi-Ukwu

The 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight Promotion Play-Offs have officially kicked off at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium, Asaba, and the Jay Jay Okocha Stadium, Ogwashi-Ukwu.

Chairman of the NNL Board, George Aluo, who spoke during the match fixtures draw at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, assured stakeholders of fair officiating and smooth organization.

He congratulated clubs that emerged from Conferences A to D, and praised Ikorodu FC’s performance, noting that none of the teams promoted to the NPFL last season were relegated.

Aluo also appreciated the Nigeria Football Federation for its confidence in the board and commended the Delta State Government for hosting the flagship event.

Delta FA Chairman, Godwin Adedo, in a welcome address, thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the State Sports Commission for their unwavering support.

The eight clubs competing are: Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars, Wikki Tourists, Doma United, Crown FC, Kun Khalifat FC, Osun United, and Warri Wolves.

The weeklong tournament will climax next Saturday with the final to decide this season’s Super Eight champion.
