The local security group in Rivers State, known as OSPAC (Onelga Security Peace Advisory Committee), has issued a seven-day eviction notice to native doctors operating in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA).
OSPAC says the move is to help tackle rising crime in the area. According to them, many of the native doctors are involved in “questionable practices” and keep fetish items that are believed to be linked to criminal activities.
The vigilante group warned that if the native doctors don’t leave within the seven days, they will face sanctions during upcoming security operations.
OSPAC urged residents to report any suspicious activities or hideouts linked to native doctors, promising to take swift action.
Residents are advised to stay calm and cooperate with security agents to ensure peace and safety in the community.
