Nigeria’s Super Falcons got their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) campaign off to a flying start with a dominant 3-0 victory over Tunisia in Casablanca.
The match, which marked the Falcons’ opening group game, saw goals from star striker Asisat Oshoala, Rinsola Babajide, and Chinwendu Ihezuo, sealing an emphatic win for the nine-time African champions.
The Nigerian ladies displayed class and confidence throughout the game, keeping their North African opponents on the back foot. The win sends a strong message to other contenders as the Super Falcons chase a record-extending 10th continental title.

After defeating Tunisia 3–0, the Super Falcons who are in group B will face:Botswana on Thursday, July 10 at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca and then play Algeria on Sunday, July 13 at the same venue.
The top teams from the group will advance to the knockout stage as the tournament progresses in Morocco.
